I Feel So Sad Sometimes How Can I Move on With My Life Now?

Question by Pride: I feel so sad sometimes how can I move on with my life now?
I met this girl in rehab. (I know, probably not the best place to meet a significant other). We clicked and bonded. After rehab I move to Knoxville to be near her. There was work for me there. She had no job per say, but made a pitance doing landscaping. I am not rich, but I had a good job and everytime she needed my help I was there instantly. She had legal problems and I paid thousands of dollars to let her cleared and free of the court. She had no insuranceand I helped her always to get her meds. I took care of her when she relapsed on drugs. It didn’t matter if it was 2am I would help her every time she needed me. I gave freely to her anything I had that she needed. Neither of us cheated on the other, no abuse or anything like that. I moved her to saint loius where I had gotten a great job and one day she just left. no explanation, no closure, no anything. she changed her phone number and forbade her mother to take my calls. I feel desolate, empty, used. What can give me hope? I am all alone. I am not even happy to be living right now.

Unfortunately, it happens.

You got done wrong. You got your heart trod upon. It happens to a lot of people. All you can do is forgive, forget, and move on with your life. If you feel you need to, get some counseling. When my wife cheated on me and left, I went to counseling for four sessions. It helped me feel better during a tough time. You might say it got me over the hump until I could manage things on my own.

Mate I am so sorry to hear she used you like that. Unfortunately some people will never appreciate all the good things you have done for them. The trick is to realise that you are better than that, you deserve more & to surround yourself with good people who will appreciate what a great bloke you are.

I’m sure you will find someone else who deserves a great guy like you, & you will be happy with them…

Good luck,
Matt

PS: some counselling would be a good idea to help you get over your grief
